Les Discrètes, a series of 6 small vases born from chance and plaster.
Each vase in this series is the imprint of a suspended moment. Shaped from an elastomeric waterproofing membrane, and folded in every direction, like crumpling a thought or a memory. Then, plaster was poured. And it was the plaster, in its gravity, that chose which folds to open and which to close. The final form is the result of a dialogue between gestures and the material. Each model created is unique, impossible to reproduce. A singular imprint, like a frozen trace of a free movement.
Les Discrètes do not impose themselves; they let themselves be guessed.
